    This used to be an African restaurant but now it’s turned into a Dominican restaurant. The food is really good and healthy tasting. Not oily at all. My new favorite spot. Great energy!!

    African Pot Eatery is brand new, stylish, modern West African restaurant on South Broad St. in Elizabeth.

    African Pot opening up is a constant reminder and shining example of the spectacular and developing dining scene in Elizabeth.

    Never would I have thought to see such a stunning, beautifully decorated, and electic menu of Nigerian specialties with Modern European/French touches when wandering around in Elizabeth.

    The menu covers both classic Nigerian specialties, as well as modern versions and surprises based on the cuisine.

    The food, from what I've tried so far, the amala and ewudu, was wonderful. A bit of everything on the plate. Excellent blend of spices, savory and sweet, meat and fried fish, and great mash flavor and texture.

    I look forward to returning to try the more modern takes on classic West African dishes.

    I tried the chicken and jollof rice! It was delicious and I love spicy food!
