Stage House Tavern

We usually go to the Mountainside location but we were in the area so we stopped in for dinner! We had a great meal. What I like about this location is it’s a bit more intimate then Mountainside. It was nice because they had multiple fire places going and on a cold winter night it was real nice. What is great about this place is the variety of food.i got a great beet salad and the kids got burgers & chicken fingers.

We were far away from home on a girls shopping day and stopped in for lunch. Very pleasantly surprised! From the outside it looks like a 100 year old tavern (which it is, actually) - but inside its a large and bustling eatery with 20' ceiling, a giant square bar in the middle with loads of large screen TV's. The food was excellent, the service was perfect even though it was a crazy busy Saturday lunch - we had good drinks & a good time. Would go back!

My friend and I went for a drink and we weren't expecting that food was also wonderful that soothed our hardworking day! The waiter Brian is supportive to help us other where seated upon our request, recommend the food that worked out our appetite and frequently checked our satisfaction. We would love to visit some other time and bring more friends to enjoy the time there.

Solid food, nothing particularly stands out or detracts. There is often a wait. Your experience can vary greatly depending on where they seat you. The main rooms are warm, lively and inviting. Some of the smaller rooms and the higher up rooms are quiet and without as much atmosphere. Try not to get seated all the way up on the top floor where you may find yourself isolated and being ignored by the wait staff. Staff is always pleasant though.

Thanksgiving dinner was outstanding. 1pm seating gave us a leisurely 2 hour meal. The menu was varied, interesting and delicious. Each course was presented with care. The best Thanksgiving meal I've ever had in a restaurant. I will be a repeat customer.
