Cool place. Great atmosphere. Good cocktails. Not a fan of the food though. Just ok. I ll always go back to have a drink but not necessarily to eat.

Nice to see this place restarted - after maybe a year of being closed due for structural enhancements (compromises with a "challenging" landlord - it's a long story and documented in local media) that only benefited the great ambiance of this Americana restaurant owned by the Harvest Group which has spots in Summit and other Jersey towns. Named in honor of Charles Addams, the "Addams Family" cartoonist who lived in Westfield, it is a true Tavern - has a great bar, welcoming staff, a real fireplace and noisy seating areas (stone on the walls and a hard floor echo almost every sound). Great food, too. One more star from me if a few minor housekeeping items were fixed... but we will come again.

After a surprising initial opening, it was closed as a court struggle played out. Months after it's closing, it reopened, after more months of renovations.

Now, Addams Tavern is right back where I first experienced it: packed with clientele, served by folks who are attentive and polite, and a menu that's both Americana and cutting edge.

I like this place. It's warm and cozy.

A shining star in an otherwise pedestrian town. The most vibrant night spot in town. Great food, attentive and friendly bar/wait staff, and a well to do clientele. The only downside is that I wish the bar area was larger for more mingling..
