The Sizzle BBQ

Good food, price, decor, presentation, and service.

BBQ is a unique in that what you think is good BBQ and what I think is god BBQ can be two different things. And neither of us by the way are wrong. So with that disclaimer said, we got an order of pulled pork BBQ the other night and although the flavor was nice and smoky (although a little too sweet for my palate) the consistency was mushy. Now for those of you who don't have teeth or prefer simply not to chew, this might be right up your alley. But I prefer to have a bit more substance. BBQ pork should be pulled, not pureed. I still like to have whole meaty chunks that must be masticated. And at the end of the meal, there needs to be that recalcitrant strand of pork that's stuck between your teeth. You know the type, where no matter how hard you try to dislodge it with your tongue, it simply won't yield until you get home and go after it with some dental floss.

So as pulled pork goes, there's no sizzle here. But don't let that stop you. For I am more than happy to return one day and try the brisket. I hear the ribs are worth a try as well. After all, one strike doesn't mean your out.

The Sizzle was an amazing experience that I wasn't expecting. I was brought there by my sister who said it was good, but it was significantly better than I would have initially expected. I ended up ordering a Cesar Chicken Wrap and was blown away by how well made it was. The flavors were balanced incredibly well and it was definitely the best wrap I've ever had. The fries were also cooked to perfection being completely crispy and not burnt at all. The portions were quite large for the price point and the quality of the food was excellent. I highly recommend eating here. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Chicken and ribs were amazing. (Think dry-rub, not drenched in sauce, really brings out the flavor. Staff was really cool and attentive, explained everything. Rice on the side was generous and tasty! Cant wait to come back here!
