Visited this place because my friend Rocky recommended this place. Had the Brisket sandwich with baked beans. Lots of meat, great sauce. The beans were tasty. I also ordered a quarter sausage. The sausage was delicious. It would be better if they cut it at an angle.
We live in the neighborhood and have been smelling the delicious aroma from the smokers and decided to check it out. The service was friendly and fast. The food was fresh and tasteful and the prices were in line with the serving size.
During our meal we also witnessed the owner help an individual in need with a free meal. The compassion and kindness was refreshing and I am certain as a growing new business they could have easily brushed off this request and turned this man away, but the owners quiet grace did not go unnoticed. I would've gone back regardless, but the small act of humanity was a refreshing bonus.
It is nice to have local restaurants pop up in the area and I hope that the community will support and grow this little BBQ gem.
My family and I stopped in for the first time today and we were very impressed. The establishment was clean and we were greeted with smiling faces. We tried the brisket, ribs, pulled pork, hot links, beans, potato salad, okra, and green chile Mac and cheese. All of the food was excellent. Definitely worth stopping by.
My friend and I stopped here to eat at 3 pm on a Friday. I had the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and potato salad. The staff was friendly. I am from Texas, so I have eaten a lot of good BBQ. This restaurant has GOOD BBQ. I like the Texas style, where you cook and prepare everything without sauce and then add the sauce later. Cooking the meat without the sauce prevents the meat from getting mushy. My friend had a brisket sandwich with potato salad and cole slaw, and he enjoyed his meal. He wanted to try a hot link, but they were out, which is typical for a good BBQ restaurant. I could barely recognize the difference between the two BBQ sauces, but they had good flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant and plan to eat there again soon.
I'm not a fan of barbecue, but my husband is:) However, I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of the menu. I had the Elijah fries topped with pulled pork. My husband had the baked potato topped with brisket. I always loved that the sweet tea was just the right sweetness. I'm sure we will be visiting again 😊
