Met one of the owners (Steve). Phenomenal guy & his employees seemed to be just as quality. The food was great!! I'm only giving this 5 stars because more stars aren't offered. I'll be going every time I visit Albuquerque. No question.
Lindy's is an absolute must stop for anyone in Albuquerque for the first time. Residents of Albuquerque and the surrounding areas know it and love it. They serve breakfast all day, and over the weekend stay open to the wee hours of the morning.
Lindy's can accommodate folks who are disabled, but is not necessarily set up for the task. Half of the dining area is ground level, but the other half is elevated, making wheelchairs in this section nearly impossible.
The food is excellent, and exactly what one might expect of a diner. The portions are not overly large, but they are filling. The wait staff are well trained and very personable. The assorted memorabilia adorning the walls make simply walking in an experience.
There is no dedicated parking for Lindy's, but there is on street, metered parking available. The parking fee is $1 per hour, but is free after 6pm.
Spur of the moment pick & an excellent one it turned out to be. Food was made fresh & portions were not small. Loved the choice of beer on tap. Destiny, our server, was super friendly & accommodating. Menu options made it hard to choose since all the dishes described sounded so good.
What a great place. I can only imagine the popularity of the working stiff and the local office worker in this restaurant's heyday! You can still feel the vibe and ambience as you sit at the table and look at the Kimo Theater across the street.
The menu has a varied selection of diner foods as well as New Mexico dishes. I had the London Burger. Essentially a bacon cheeseburger and a garden salad. The burger was cooked as ordered and was juicy at the first bite!
Service was friendly and attentive. There is also a patio seating area if you choose to dine Al fresco along 5th Street.
Delicious! I had the mushroom and cheese burger which was huge and juicy, and the fries were very well seasoned and hot. Lot of food for your money. My companion enjoyed the Reuben a lot. I'll definitely have to go back to try other things. Their breakfast options also look good.
