Los Pookies Mexican Restaurant

My wife an I come here for lunch quite ofter since discovering it about 2 months ago. The food is amazing, great portion sizes and the customer service is excellent.

Really liked this spot!!! The staff were very helpful and attentive during the lunch rush. I ordered the giant burrito with Birria and it was very good! Will be back the next time I'm in ABQ :)

In from out of town, I looked around on Google for good local food within walking distance. I found Los Pookies, saw that it is a brick and mortar restaurant that began as a food truck and instantly I knew I wanted to go. Food trucks that are good enough to build up to storefronts have never failed me yet and this was no exception.

I went in without a clue of what I wanted, asked the incredibly friendly staff what got them popular, and was told their tacos. So I got them, took a picture, and absolutely devoured them. The tacos were freaking amazing. If I had room for more I absolutely would have gotten more but I was plenty satisfied.

I would definitely go again and will recommend Los Pookies to anyone I can.

I’ve gotta say the menu looked very good
But when we order our food they took a little while to bring one plate then a little longer to bring the second one . Food was cold and honestly not so good
I order the red Chile enchiladas and was very disappointed that the red Chile tasted more like tomato sauce .
Being Mexican by birth I was very disappointed that they would water down the Chile just to please certain clientele..
definitely not Authentic Mexican food
