Monte Carlo Liquors & Steak House

In town for a few days and decided to try this place out from a recommendation. I read several reviews before I chose to eat here and was impressed with what they had to say about the food here so I felt pretty good about picking this place. Had the 10oz ribeye, MEDIUM. Entrees come with a salad and a baked potato. Meal was served and to my disappointment the steak was cooked MEDIUM WELL to WELL DONE. Off all places that would get the temp of a steak wrong. Inexcusable in my opinion. The server was nice enough to take 50% off the entree due to the wrong temp. Not sure is this is a place I would re-visit nor recommend.

I have heard about this place for years. We finally went and had the Prime Rib. It was fantastic just like I have been told!

Great place. Loved the old school steakhouse atmosphere. Our server was awesome. The steaks were cooked very well. They arrived at a perfect medium temp.

Great after work lunch spot for a burger, onion rings, and beer. And you can score a nice bottle of bourbon afterward at the liquor store! Thank you Monte Carlo

If you are familiar with the lore of the Monte Carlo steakhouse, you probably don't need my review. It's a hole in the wall locale, where you walk through the liquor store to get to the restaurant.

Originally made popular for their burger, they have become very well known for their steaks. The atmosphere is what one should expect for such a hole in the wall location. They do not split checks and you should expect to wait 40 minutes during an average night. They do not take reservations. If you're expecting a black tie steakhouse, you're in the wrong place. Make no mistake, you're here for the food.

All said, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was as expected and the owner spent some time chatting with us, which is always nice.
