Mr Powdrell's Barbeque

Ordered a small sandwich and could only eat 1/2, it was huge. The pork bbq was very tasty. We enjoyed our lunch yesterday by the UNM duck pond!

We like a lot hanging out. Yesterday we went to this magnificent restaurant which friends told us about. We enjoyed a beautiful experience there with first-rate cooking and a courteous crew and a professional chef. We added this place in our list and we will certainly come back soon. We highly recommend.

Old style barbeque joint with incredible BBQ sauce. There are several options of meats to choose from along with catfish and fries. The side dishes are exquisite as few people can cook collard greens and black eye peas like this place. Other sides include green beans, fries, sweet potato fries, slaw as well potato salad and some of the best mac and cheese you will find anywhere. Eat in and listen to jazz played or tale out and drive through available. Buy the sauce as well. Outstanding!!

I thought the brisket was a tad under done for my taste, but I'm more used to Texas style and I think Mr Powdrell tends toward Memphis style. It was tender, not fatty. Sauce is sweet. If you're tooling along Route 66 you should take in the historic eatery, a landmark in Albuquerque.
