A true hole in the wall right on 4th St. just South of Alameda. The minute I walked in and smelled the food cooking, I knew it was going to be good. The prices were great 👍
Great spot for chicken or breakfast. The green or red Chile half-chicken are both very special. Friendly, family atmosphere.
Cute hole in the wall. Owner/staff were very friendly. Cozy and clean place. But when it comes to the food, Unfortunately I came in looking for that authentic southern flavor that you'd get along the border or at least flavorful food. Grabbed some burritos, not spicy at all, lacked flavor, tasted tomato sauce of what should've been red chile. This was typical New Mexican food. Can't even say rice (minute rice) or beans were to my liking. For what it is, 4 stars. But I know better now than to come in with my illusion for authentic flavor and food made from scratch. (p.s. I grew up eating homemade Mexican food, sorry but my palete expects more as these ingredients are not hard to obtain).
Stopped in on a whim as we were leaving town from the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. The entire menu in this darling little restaurant looked amazing, but we decided on a couple of different breakfast burritos (chorizo & shredded beef). They were handmade to order (we both subtracted beans) and were DELICIOUS. The owner was so kind and friendly, checking on us often and asking if we liked her cooking. We LOVED it. We will definitely return the next time we are in Albuquerque.
Homemade Mexican breakfast that warms your insides. Everything is homemade including the salsa and tortillas. The owner came out to greet us and ask us about our meal. Definitely a gem!! Great food and friendly people!!
