Was my first order; it was delicious and the service was awesome!!!!! The meal was very fresh, excellent portion size. Egg drop soup was gooooodddd. The food is cooked to my delight, not salty, can really taste the flavor and it was very delicious. Thank you, will see you again.
Very small place. Service is pretty quick. The portions are good size. I enjoyed my plate and so did Navy mom. They offered lunch portions for the children and they are huge which was great. The children have plenty of leftovers for the next day.
We eat here all the time. It's a small restaurant but the food is really good. They take pride in serving fresh and tasty food. Customer service is decent. Restaurant is always clean, especially the bathrooms.

Came in today with a couple of good friends when the need to take the edge off our hunger became substantial. After suggesting Rising Star we made our way over and immediately took our seats. Despite being moderately busy (for a small restaurant) the service was good and our food came out faster than expected. While Rising Star offers meals at a lower than average cost, the food quality isn't half bad. My sweet and sour chicken was crunchy and the beff properly cooked. While my friends were looking for more a kick to their spicy beef, they too were nevertheless satisfied with both the meal and price tag. Whether for take-out or casual dining, Rising Star is an ideal Chinese Eatery for those in the northeast area.
First time dining at the Rising Star. Overall very pleased with our experience. Staff was friendly and attentive. They happily accommodated my request for no sweet and sour sauce on the sweet and sour chicken. Egg drop soup and hot sour soups were tasty. We ordered almond chicken and orange chicken. Both came with fried shrimp. We also ordered Kung Pao chicken that came with sweet and sour chicken (minus the sauce). The dishes were good, we ate every last bite. Would have liked a little more heat in the spicy dishes though. The orange chicken didn't have the sweet/tang we generally expected, but was still very good. The pot stickers were delicious. The prices were very reasonable with good portion sizes. We will definitely eat there again
