Talking Drums African Cuisine

Delicious! This was our first time here (or rather taking out) and everything we had was excellent. We went with vegetable and fish dishes and could not have been more pleased. The rice and plantains had such a great flavor. Catfish was very good. Fufu great. Only wish we had tried a dessert. Next time. Everything was packed up good for a take out order too. Nice pandemic picnic treat!

Food was very delicious here and service was fast. Everyone got their food within 30 minutes or less. I will definitely come again. Food was nice and spicy as well.

I give this place 4 stars due to cuisine. The parking in very sparse and location is too easy to drive by. If you want a different variation of soup and culinary experience similar to an Ethiopian restaurant then this place will satisfy you. The Caribbean Jerk Chicken is excellent. The meat is not frozen and the herbs/spices used tastes more authentic than any where else in Albuquerque. The staff is good yet most African beer selections is unavailable when I dined there. The only choice was Club and very flavorful beer from Africa. Needless to say give this place a legitimate chance and they will thrive. Worth the visit.

Try all the things!
First off, Alex is fantastic... great conversation and good natured. The food was excellent. Best to go when you have time to soak it all in. The ambiance, the conversation, and the great selection of food that you couldn't get anywhere else in Albuquerque. Step out of your comfort zone, try something new and different, and enjoy the experience.

This place is amazing! You can try authentic African food. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and helped explain what everything was on the menu! Definitely recommend!
