Ordered the birria tacos and they were so good. Girl who took our order was super sweet and apologized for the time but she got the order ready in no time at all.
Salsa is kept cool and fresh, and everything tasted amazing. Will come back to order from this place again. ⭐⭐
One of my favorite little spots in Albuquerque. I love their Huevos. I also noticed they were short staffed last time I went but that girl and her sister handled the customers with ease and care. I was amazed at how productive and how good the food tasted! Props to those two young girls running the counter, store, cooking, and interaction.
In a town of New Mexican food, it makes me so happy when I find Authentic Mexican food! Great little restaurant with the friendliest staff and most amazing food! It was our first time here, we've seen it a few times and decided to give it a try today. This is our new favorite spot! The Barbacoa was so tender and flavorful and the dark red salsa was out favorite! Each one had its own unique flavor but, the dark red one had a soft spicy and a lot of flavor. The light red was extra spicy and blended will with the quesa-birria tacos and lime. The quesa-birria tacos were so flavorful and the quesa was so melt-y, the tortillas were fresh and the perfect combination of soft & slightly crunchy. You can tell this is a family owned & run shop and they are all wonderful, smiling and checking on us. The place is very clean without any cleaning solutions smells to over power the smell of the amazing food. The singing, chatting & laughter coming from the kitchen made me smile to know that they are doing what they love.
I’ve been in looking for a good burrito that would be similar to ones I could fine in Southern California. Meat, beans, rice, and pico de gallo.
I’m happy to say this place has what I’ve been looking for. I also ordered a torta. It was so good and the bread had a lovely sweetness that paired well with the meat and heat from the salsa and pico de gallo.
I’ll be returning often.
Update: I recently went back to go get the tacos I declared the best and was really disappointed. Im not sure if they changed management but the birria quesa tacos were definitely not the same. Completely different flavor, onions weren't chopped as finely as they were. The consume was not as flavorful. My corn tortillas fell apart. I also waited over an hour for my to-go order. I am again, in search of the best Birria tacos.
No longer searching for the best because this place has the best Quesa Birria Tacos I have tasted in Albuquerque. They are reasonably priced and very good customer service. The AL Pastor Torta is amazing as well. The quality of the food is awesome. Would definitely suggest this place.
