it looks like a hole in a wall next to a liquor store, but this place is a treasure! They explain everything you need and it has a very cozy feel. You can't even see the bar from the front dining room. Basically, your food boils on a burner in front of you, very classic hot pot. There are lots of extras to choose from besides the basic veg and meat (and tofu for you non-meat-eaters), and the starch is either rice or glass noodles. Which means I can bring someone gluten-free here! Everything was very fresh and delicious and I love making my own sauce combo. 2 smalls had us taking home about half of each for two people, so they're not kidding. it's a lot of food even in a small. We'll be back and probably split a large between 3 people. Really delicious eggrolls with great texture, too.
Yup like the reviews say...Dirty carpets, shady people, bla blah blah. It’s amazing how much this Chinese place reminds me of the rest of Albuquerque. The hot pot was great and New Mexico is lucky to have a place like this. I come from a small town with no options so this was great. Food was delicious and cheap and that’s how Chinese roll.
This was my first time trying this place and I was not disappointed. I ordered the seafood hot pot with side orders of beef tripe and intestine, and soft noodles. The service was on point, the waiter was very friendly and answered all my questions. My order was great!! I will be back again and recommend this place to anyone.
Been there twice and have to say this is not a real hot pot place. Ingredients are not so fresh and the choice for soup, vegetables are so limited. The sauce and dip bar is so tiny and don’t often run out of things. They don’t have sesame paste neither and you have to tolerate the sweet peanut butter in it. They only have white vinegar and no other choices. The meat portion is soooooo small that you need to order two for each. They are not frozen thin cut but rough knife cut pieces.
A wonderful hidden spot in plain site (across the street from the VA). Taiwanese food that makes your tastebuds feel alive at the first bite! It was our first time there, but the waitress gave us instructions and was nearby if we needed anything. She recommended the popcorn chicken with basil leaves - that is TOP SHELF yummy delicious cuisine!!! (On top of our meal we ordered two to go as well..!????)The Thia curry hot pot was boiling in front us - a very nice ambiance...tasty good food for the soul.
