Best Mexican food around. The one in Amarillo closed so whenever we get the chance we eat at Leal's in Plainview. The topped sopapilla is my favorite. Not only is the food outstanding but the employees are too.
Food was good and so was the ambiance, but the server was knowledgeable and kind and great at her job. I think her name was Christina. We enjoyed the decorations they let you know the place was full of history. The restaurant has been open since the fifties I believe.
Chips, salsa and queso was great. Food not so much, looked and tasted like a frozen dinner. We live in Amarillo and miss our Leals,so we travel to Planview,Muleshoe and now Clovis. Muleshoe is the BEST.
The salsa and chips are AMAZING! Sour cream chicken enchiladas, yum! Wish they had real liquor! But the icy mugs are a great touch!
We ordered to go from phone. We were told 15-20 minutes, we were there within 20 minutes. At 6:00 we asked where our orders was. We were told it was still in the kitchen another 10 minutes it was delivered to our car, a total of 40 minutes later.
We brought it home, no beans, very little green sauce, tomatoes on tacos which we asked to be left off. Joe Rhodes was cold and was covered with very little sauce. I have enjoyed dining here since I moved to Clovis 5 years ago
To say the least we were very disappointed.
