Casa El Camino

Food is amazing. Had the stuffed pompano with shrimp and it was delicious. The presentation looked great on plate. Service was very friendly and prompt.

Had dinner at a new restaurant in the metropolis of La Mesa NM. The food is Guadalajara Old Mexico style, which is different than what we're used to here in New Mexico. The food was excellent, Carroll De La O tried the brilla tacos made from brisket, I tried the burger because I'm a cretin and rate a restaurant on how good the hamburgers are. It was awesome, it's double meat, double cheese with lettuce, onion, tomatoes on a toasted buttered bun. If it had the dressing and been wrapped in an In' n' Out wrapper I would have thought I was eating a DoubleDouble.

The service is great the waitress explained the menu and said everything was made from scratch so the food will take a bit longer to come out.

We had after dinner drinks at the bar side, which was a full bar with enormous margaritas and a good beer selection.

It's worth the drive out here, and don't forget to invite me of you go.

Our food was presented beautifully and was delicious. It is Jalisco style and more elevated than most of the local Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. The drinks were tasty also. Well worth the drive from Cruces.

Great little road house, great authentic Mexican food, head cook was very enthusiastic and explained where the dishes and ambiance on the restaurant side were natively from. Bar side is very well done and has a very well blended Cantina/Pub feel. Stuffed pablano was great, definitely worth the drive.

Finally a top notch spot in the La Mesa area!! It’s got a pristine Guadalajara feel, excellent dining / family area.. The bar section inside to the right has a great jukebox and great drinks. The exterior and interior are both super clean and neat. Can’t wait to come back!!
