This place is a good Mexican restaurant, very comfy booths and it was very clean, definitely a good family restaurant. I loved the flavor of their beef and the fried cheesecake chimi was delicious. But the rice and beans are kinda bland and the chips are thicker and were not served warm. The enchilada sauce was very basic. Not spicy at all. Overall pretty good meal. Good portions.
The food was OMG so good. The staff are friendly welcoming. After working in the sun taking a break for lunch in a nice cold restaurant is key. A big shout-out to our waitress for laughing at all my dumb jokes... 😊 😁
My boys and I stopped in on a Friday morning and had no issues getting seated right away despite a busy floor. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The area we were sat was clean and everything on the table was fully stocked. Drinks came right away, including a great cup of coffee in a traditional Mexican clay mug. The boys ordered pancakes, which they said were great but I ordered some real food. I got a plate of Migas with fried papas and refried beans. Walking in, the table next to us had two bowls of menudo, so the aroma was pretty hard to resist. I also ordered a small bowl to share. The migas plate was huge. Everything was delicious, well seasoned, great traditional flavors, and ended up having to pack up the menudo because there was so much food. Great visit and nice to have a real Mexican restaurant in a small NM town.
I almost rated this place a 4… we waited for 10-15 minutes just to place a drink order. We were given our menus and left alone- all while every table around us was taken care of. At some point a waitress finally stopped by and decided to just help us out.
Thank goodness she did because the food is great! I’m so glad we didn’t leave.
If you see this place on Google Maps it looks like it’s in the middle of a subdivision but it’s not really. You owe it to yourself to stop by and grab a meal.
The menu is huge and everything on our table was great. The salsa they bring you with the chips is no joke. Quite a kick to it.
I don’t know if I’ll ever be back, since I’d never been in town before. But I’d gladly return! :-)
