Buckhorn Saloon & Opera House

Very busy place on a Friday night but absolutely worth it! Best chili soup I've ever had in my life, and im from Cincinnati where all we know is chili! Fantastic food and such a cool place to check out even if you are just having a drink. Easily the best place in town to visit.

Prime rib was out of this world. The blue cheese dressing is amazing! Enjoyed the atmosphere. The ambiance is wonderful, and appeasing. Our servers were Heather being trained by Maya. Both were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I think the bartender was Maria, her drinks were made just right for those that were partaking. Made us all happy. Heather is a new server and she did an amazing job. However we felt that certain questions were asked to our table to see about her performance. We feel this may have been unnecessary, as for anyone starting out it’s new. She’s a great server, and she handled us very well. When we return, we will visit again.

This restaurant is definitely an experience! The setting is a historic saloon from the Wild West days.
We ate and had drinks in the bar since the restaurant was full. I suggest making reservations. Note the restaurant is closed Sundays due to their law.
I had a Buffalo burger which is amazing! Buffalo meat is low in fat so you have to be careful how you cook it. They have this down to a Science because it was flavorful and juicy,, not dry at all! You can get cheese and a pepper on it....which I recommend! I've also had their Green Chili Stew which is also one of their signature items and is also excellent on a previous visit! My friend had Prime Rib which she also loved.
The service was amazing!!! Maria was our server and although she was also at the bar she kept up with the her stations and the bar!! She also was very personable and a truly lovely person with a lot of energy!! Her Mule she made me was Awesome as well!!
The restaurant is connected to the old Opera House which everyone should check out! It is really cool to see!
I truly recommend this place!!

Great historical place or maybe not so historical but it is historical in the western development of the United States. It has been well taken care of with the opera house next door. The bar food was bar food but you're looking for the ambiance and not fine cuisine when you go there. My second time to visit it and it was great both times but unfortunately this time it was a little bit chilly when you're not near the fireplace. It was February after all. Definitely a place to go to and revel or immerse yourself in history

So, we hit this place up at 8:15 on a Saturday night, dining room already closed, but still serving the dinner menu in the bar.
Found a nice table near the band, a two piece guitar duo, who were very good.

Being that we sat 45 minutes to close of kitchen, several items were out, which was understandable.
Settled on a couple MR strips with fries and zucchini. Started out with onion soup.

Not only was the staff accommodating and friendly, the onion soup was outstanding and not typically too salty.
The steaks were cooked perfectly and the fries were crispy and delicious!
