Sky Islands Grill & Grocery

This is the best restaurant that I’ve been to in the southwest, so far. It’s beautiful, the food is good, it’s convenient, the service is fast, the staff is very nice, and there are plenty of vegetarian accommodations too.

Restaurant has amazing food to say the least. Can tell the local food goes into it. The entire staff is in my opinion some of the best staff I've seen in some time. Grocery area had a decent selection for the area in my opinion with the willingness to accommodate to special requests. Like selling us a single bun cuz we only needed 1 not the entire pack.

We worked up an appetite while walking our dog in the Chiricahua Mountains, which by the way are just beautiful. On the way back to the campground we stopped in for a late Lunch at Sky Islands Grill and Grocery Restaurant. This place is awesome, super friendly helpful staff. They have outdoor seating as well, however it was closed do to the cold temperatures. The food was great and reasonably priced, my barbecue chicken wings with ranch dressing and French fries were delicious. They also offer a great variety of items in their well stocked store, you can get milk, frozen meats, ice cream, reading glasses, all sorts of items a camper or hiker would need, first aid supplies, detergents, can goods, hair products, fresh produce, just to mention a few things. They get 5 stars from us! We will be back!

The BEST food in the Portal / Rodeo area. I have been here numerous times, including my anniversary, and the food is consistently delicious! Love their coconut shrimp and Chocolate Cake.

Great green Chile cheeseburger. Reasonable prices. Awesome hot sauces. Fast, friendly service. I really enjoyed stopping here for lunch and would do so again if I'm back in the area. Check out the hand made soaps and salves outside the bathroom!
