Been going there for years. Sandwiches are good, donuts are fresh and made daily in store. Brownies are chewy, fudgey, and chocolatey.
DO NOT judge a book by its cover! Oh my gosh, the bread was so fresh, and 6" sandwiches were filling. Veggies and condiments were distributed evenly. Not too much, not too little. You can get extra vegetables for a cost. I definitely suggest getting your bread toasted. It adds such a good flavor to the sandwich, also softening the bread like it came fresh out of the oven.
For dessert, the first donut that caught our eye was the apple fritter. Baked to perfection, crisp, thin, and a good amount of apples in and glaze on the fritter.
Thanks to other people’s posts and reviews we stopped in for lunch on our way to Arizona. Why would you ever buy a corporate sandwich when these guys make their bread from scratch. Their meat is sliced in house and is so very tender and all the ingredients are top notch. They have been in this location 39 years!!! The place is super clean as well. Support your local businesses and eat here often if you can. We were so impressed we also purchased donuts for this morning with our family…..they didn’t make it that long!!!
My wife and I finally got the chance to stop by again after a good six months passed and this is always our favorite place to go to in Gallup. No matter what time it is you'll get the best sandwiches and donuts around!! My wife always grabs the 6" Ham and cheese and I always get the Pepper Turkey with pepper jack cheese, bacon and avocado 🥑. Friendliest Folks you'll ever meet too.
Their donut display was full, large selection! Also, the sandwich I got was surprisingly amazing! (Turkey, bacon, avocado.) My son's pb&j was pretty good too. Definitely going to be my go-to when passing through Gallup.
