A small quaint place in Alamogordo. The food is fantastic. The huevos rancheros are the best I have ever had. Went to dinner last night, the cheese enchiladas plate with green sauce was outstanding. The staff is friendly and happy to see you. A must stop when you're in Alamogordo.
Great food and staff. Got the bacon cheese burger with onion rings wifey got the mushroom Swiss burger with fries and the youngster got the taco plate.
We loved their Chilli Rheno Burrito smothered with green chilli ! They make everything fresh. If you are going there peak time, be prepared for a long wait. You might get lucky though and get free chips and salsa for your patience! The food will be worth waiting.
Don’t let the outside sway you away from this establishment. Not the fanciest place but it does the job when food is concerned. My family ate here as our last meal in Alamogordo. They choice burgers as they had a special and I choice the green chile relleno & cheese enchilada combo plate. I’m not a meat eater so this was the best choice for me. The service was slow as there was only one waitress and maybe 1 cook.
I would say my families stomach was not a fan of the burgers. They all experienced a trip to the bathroom when we got home. Would advise letting them know how you like your food cooked.
They sell everything from breakfast items to steak. Also, they charge for fries when it comes to sandwiches. And sauce (red or green) as it relates to the burritos.
The staff were all very nice, however, the service was slow, initially to get menus. Then to place the order was another wait. But the real wait was for the meal to arrive. WE placed our order at 12:00 PM and at 12:40 we were informed that our order got lost and it would be expedited in the kitchen. It was, and our omelette & pancakes were “well done”. Add the fact that the food quality was mediocre, except the tortilla chip sauce which came with no warning about its weapon grade potency. Additionally, don’t use the bathroom there unless an emergency, it is not a pleasant place to do your business.
