Really excellent food. Homestyle. Nice staff. We thought we'd found our new local spot until our last two visits when we were charged 27 dollars for 2 burritos, 2 cokes and a few day old donuts.
Running a cash register requires attentiveness. We were too embarrassed either time to point out that we were overcharged 7 dollars. We still tipped generously because we were raised well but I doubt I'll return anytime soon because of this.
Also, and I say this gently...y'all really need to clean that place and practice better hand washing hygiene.
The food was truly delicious, though. A real bummer.
You aren't going to have a mural of a donut and the word "burrito" and expect me to pass by. Quaint spontaneous stop on the way out of town. Heard brisket was the best but they were sold out. Pork burrito was tasty (get the green salsa, so good). Apple fritter was hefty and tasty! Red pozole also good. Won't be the fastest meal ever prepared but you'll get some tasty food at this road side stop. Cash only.
This is a "whole in the wall" restaurant with minimal seating inside and some seating outside as well. In addition to the kitchen, they also have a selection of donuts.
I had a basic two egg and potato breakfast with bacon. Most places give you two thin bacons and a pile of potatoes, but here they gave me just a few potatoes and three thick slices of bacon: a good tradeoff, IMO. They also had two slices of toast, not just one.
THE BAD NEWS is that Yum Yums is expensive for what they have. The people with me paid over $30 for two adults. That was for breakfast and some donuts. My breakfast was about $15 with a 🍩. I forgot to pay attention as i got distracted when paying and didn't get my receipt. The donut was ok.
If youre the type of person who enjoys a nice peaceful, small town, home cooked meal kind of vibe, then this place is for you. The food was delicious, and the apple fritter I got to take home was the best one I've ever eaten, the flavors were all magnificent and the ladies there were very warm and welcoming. Wonderful experience, and truly amazing with this beautiful weather and their outdoor, shaded patio area. Wish id gotten more photos but I thought of it last minute and these were just too beautiful to miss..
This was the cutest little place to stop at and enjoy a quick bite! An older gentleman and a woman were working and they were super sweet. I ordered a potato, egg and green Chile burrito and I hate to admit it but it was pretty flavorless and the Chile was super spicy 🥵 I guess I’m use to California chiles being more mild so that was my fault, but I still ate it and had to use the salt and pepper packets I was given. If they could add more flavor to their dishes this place would be a hit!
