Smokey Shack BBQ

You can’t go wrong with anything this place provides. Everything is delicious and flavorful. The Texas tater is such a treat. Everything you’d want from great BBQ. I will definitely keep this place on my list of places to eat. And it’s on my way home from work which is a plus.

Not only the best BBQ in NM, but some of the friendliest staff!! The brisket and jalapeño cheddar sausage are my favorites! Also the Texas baked potato stuffed with brisket is a must try. Don’t miss out!!!

I'm going to start by saying the BBQ is delicious. Their brisket is some of the best I've ever had. However, I'm rather frustrated by the fact that I got less than the half pound I paid for. When I went to plate it up, I noticed that it looked like less meat then the other 3 times I've gone. When I put it on our kitchen scale, sure enough it was 7.58 ounces. The person slicing the meat tonight was one I haven't seen before, so maybe the other employee puts another slice to ensure that it's over the 8oz? But I have to say I would much prefer that to being under what I paid for...

This place has some legit BBQ. The brisket is my favorite and you will not be disappointed. It’s smoked with what appears to be oak hardwood. The owner is a nice guy and he runs a nice clean operation. I highly recommend it.

This place was absolutely amazing! Stopped here the other day after work, figured I'd give it a try. The meat was tender, had a decent amount of fat, and the flavor was perfect. You can taste the layers of flavor in the bark. The bbq sauce perfectly complimented the meat without being overpowering (like A1 or other sauces do). The potato salad was great; it wasn't sweet or too mushy. The price is reasonable for what you get, and the service was awesome. Everything was so good, I decided to eat in my car instead of taking it home! I couldn't recommend this place enough. Please give it a try!
