Always a great place to have a couple beers, enjoy some chips and Salsa, and have a meal. The prime rib sandwich special was great! Would recommend it. We opted out on the grilled onions, but it was still very good! Kaitlyn was our server/bartender, and we were very well taken care of.
Regrettably this merchant should remove the “fine dining” from their name. Beef tacos should never have ground beef unless you are at Taco Bell. What a shame. The rice and beans was delicious. The staff was fast and courteous always making sure to refill our drinks.
The bartender was friendly and helpful when I was having a hard time picking a drink. They have a good tap beer selection from several New Mexico breweries. The chips and salsa were good but if you aren't a big fan of garlic I recommend picking a different appetizer. They have carb free and vegetarian options if you have diet restrictions. I went with the loaded nachos with chicken and couldn't believe how much food was on my plate. My friend got the beef lettuce tacos and couldn't finish all three they were so big. They have a patio in the back if you want some fresh air while eating in the summer. The courtyard in the front has live music in the summer and during different community events. This is a great place to bring the family for a good bite and there is many parking options all around the building.
So is it RubiO's? Or RubiA's? There seems to be a glitch somewhere! 😉 I went to Rubio's with a large group of friends. They seated us quickly and efficiently, no issues there. Our waitress was AMAZING! She was on her game tonight! There was one order that got sent to the wrong table of a different party,, but other than that, all went really well!!! 5 stars for service, friendliness and a great atmosphere! That being said......I ordered a chicken chimichanga with a side of rice and black bean and corn fiesta, and, well....it wasn't that great for the $14 it cost. It was pretty dry (some parts of the tortilla were completely hardened) and lacked the authentic Mexican flavor I was hoping for. Not saying I'd never come back, I just don't think I'd order a chimichanga from Rubio's again.
Supreme! This is what great New Mexico food and hospitality is! Fresh tasting, excellent staff and an owner/manager who is involved. We will back!
