El Bruno's Restaurante y Cantina

Stopped in for lunch after a weekend of camping nearby, on the way home. Was quoted a 10 minute wait for a table but ended up waiting over 35 minutes. However, they made up for it by bringing out our order very quickly. The waitress provided great service, but like most places these days, it was evident that she didn't have much help. The food was delicious! Pictured here is the kids burrito plate and the stuffed sopapilla, stuffed with carne adovada. Upon first glace, I wasn't so sure about it, as most places smother the stuffed sopapilla with chile, which I prefer. This one, had the entrée sitting on top of a pool of chile which was different but still very good. The carne adovada was tasty and chips and salsa and sopapillas very also all very good. Next time I'm in Cuba, I will definitely stop back in. I have my eye on that pinon chicken!

Visited while driving back from a hiking trip. The food came out fast and my burrito was deliciously well seasoned. Portions were perfect for us after a long day and the drinks were good too (though not as stiff).

Furthermore, there was a person playing live music which was cool!

This restaurant had good food and good service. The atmosphere is cantina style and nicely done. Table tops are distressed copper which is nice. One food negative is you only get one small basket of chips and the second basket is not free. Also the north side parking lot is gravel and making a left across traffic is tricky due to a curve in the highway. I really enjoyed lunch. Recommended.

We stop in El Bruno's fairly regularly when we take trips between the four corners and Albuquerque. They're a very good restaurant and definitely the go to tourist stop in Cuba, NM. The food is done very well and is quintessential Northern New Mexican cuisine. I do think there's been a change in their red chili sauce on the enchiladas Herrera I had this trip. The red chili had a bit more of a sharp bitter taste than the sauce I've experienced in the past. Overall still a very great restaurant and worth the stop.

Place is always good and awesome staff . Love it . The food came out quick and hot and had the Mexican shrimp cocktail and avocado bacon burger. They have dine in and outside patio and it’s beautiful out their. So don’t mine being back again soon .
