This was our first visit here.

We came early on Friday. We were seated right away.

They have a great bar with lots of cocktail options. We chose beers. They feature local brewery Ex Novo beers, but have a variety of cocktail options. Happy hour is weekdays 4-6.

They have a variety of locally sourced small plate and large plate options. We chose to have two small plates each.

The food was excellent! Highly recommended! Kudos to the chef!

Our server, Kiko, was excellent. He was attentive and helpful, but not intrusive.

We will definitely return to this local restaurant. We want it to succeed and thrive.

Whoa! The thoughtfulness and love put into the food and drinks will keep you coming back! I highly recommend the Tequila Old Fashioned, it is smooth and has a sweet taste you wouldn't expect...I'd order this just to enjoy the dehydrated orange peel that comes with it! The Tour of Italy is just as phenomenal on the palate...who would have thought that a balsamic syrup would be so tasty...it is! Now the food...the prime rib is full of flavor, tender, and melts in your mouth. It is served with an unbelievable au jus and is worth the $55 price. The chicken Philly, served with a single sweet pickle, was absolutely delicious... you get to pick your sauce (yes, Cheese Whiz is an option). The onion rings were fried to perfection, with a perfect garlic aoli! I'm a fan of chicarrones, but only at a favorite NM restaurant in the South Valley in ABQ, but oh my...the ones served at Whiptail is definitely different in a good way! The rub and agave go well together. We can't wait to go back to discover more yummy "shareable plates"...but who wants to share when you find a favorite and want it all to yourself?

We have been dying to try this place since they first put out the Coming Soon sign but for whatever reason were not able to make until now. When you first walk in the minimalist approach to decorations belies what you are about to experience. From the incredible and original cocktails to the food, your senses are about to go on an adventure and when you return from that adventure, you will want to turn around and go back for more. We cannot wait to go back and try different things and we absolutely cannot wait to try Sunday Brunch. A must visit in Rio Rancho, there is simply nothing like it.

What an excellent brunch! The ambiance was lovely, cocktails were delightful, even the mimosas were good and I've had mimosas in Vegas at the Paris buffet that I did not enjoy. These were so delightful! My mother in law got a flight and all four selections were good! Chicken was tender and juicy and crunchy! Compared to Nexus brewery chicken n waffles it dominated in flavor and cook on the chicken! Size is smaller than Nexus but I was full at the end. Delightful experience 👍🥲

I came here because I saw the restaurant on my way somewhere else about 100+ times. So I thought to finally give it a try and went here with a buddy of mine. I got the Cubano sandwich with the Chicharrones and my friend got the Philly Cheese steak and Bao Buns. It was all delicious. I split the Cubano with the Philly and I'm glad I got to taste both. The Chicharrones were so delicious, I could've eaten a whole bowl of them.

Zane was our server and was very professional and courteous. He made sure everything was as it should and was a big help.
