The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. The calamari, lamb shank & fried chicken was delicious, however to our parties disappointment both the filet mignon and T-bone steak were over cooked and for $48 a steak you would hope that they'd be cooked to perfection, but they were not. The waiter seemed to be uninformed about the menu as he couldn't provide answers to our questions. It took forever to get refills, the desert menu, spoons and forgot a side dish. The waiter dropped sauce on my father's shirt after grabbing a dish to quickly, and his helper served a dish right in front of my face to the person sitting next to me. It would be beneficial for the management to ensure their staff is properly trained in customer service before released to serve customers.

Great service, food, and drink. I got wagyu steak as medium, which was cooked excellently but the meat was a little bit on the lean side to tell you the truth. But it was not dry at all. The nacho appetizer was a spot on. I’m surprised by the low review score but this place was great and awesome. We will revisit whenever we stop by Santa Fe!

We recently had our wedding rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Rio Chama. My husband and I live on the East Coast and had never stepped into the restaurant before our rehearsal dinner (the fun of planning a destination wedding) so we were trusting other online reviews and hoping for the best.

BUT LET ME TELL YOU. The moment we stepped into Rio Chama, the vibe was amazing and everything we wanted in a dinner/welcome party venue. I cannot say enough about the the staff, the food, the drinks, and the organization of the entire evening. It was beautiful, clean, and such a nice Santa Fe aesthetic. I wish I had better pictures but the event room was beautiful and they let us bring our own decor and florals.

April, their events manager, went above and beyond as our main point-of-contact. From our initial conversation, she was so helpful and prompt with responses to any questions that we had. At the very last minute, we had about 10 more guests coming to our dinner and she handled it with absolute ease (our rehearsal dinner was 70 people and welcome party with drinks was around 100). She is an absolute gem and our night would not have been the same without her. She even texted me the next day and wished us a beautiful wedding day.

I highly recommend Rio Chama if you're looking for anything from a delicious Santa Fe date night, to a large gathering like a wedding rehearsal dinner. We're now forever fans of the food, drinks, and people

Excellent Mother's Day Brunch. I wish the menu had a little more variety! But everything we got was good. I had the Short Ribs Breakfast Hash. We also got the Prime Rib, and Ceviche to start.

A classy yet cozy restaurant situated just north of the capitol. Parking is limited; we had reservations for 5pm on a Monday and there were few empty slots. I could see why other reviews noted the lot could become a mud pit in rainy or snowy weather. Inside the restaurant, the vibe is classic Santa Fe enhanced by electric candlelight. Service was good throughout our visit. We ordered drinks to start along with the boar bacon starter, which was a nicely laden charcuterie board perfect for two. My husband ordered truffle fries, too, which came out in a big basket. The dining room we were in was spacious, with no one seated close to us—a welcome thing even in non-pandemic times. I ordered the salmon, which was perfectly cooked and atop a bed of fingerling potatoes and vegetables in a succulent broth. Capers stop the fish added a delightful briny contrast. My husband enjoyed his ribeye, which was tender and cooked to preference. Dessert was bread pudding that was chunky and sweet; not the best I’ve had, but good.
