Roadrunner Cafe

Cute little roadside cafe. I would say for the most part the food is on par for what you’d expect for a roadside diner. Two things set this place apart: 1) the decor 2) the whole wheat sopapilla.

The inside has a nice southwest decor which we enjoyed very much. We also visited on a sunny day and sat in the front area which has many large windows to let the sun in, which only added to the ambiance.

The clear star of the show here is the whole wheat sopapilla. We visit New Mexico a couple times a year and have sopapillas every time, and this was the first time having a whole wheat one. It was probably the best sopapilla I’ve ever had so it’s worth stopping in just for that if you’re in the area. Make sure to eat them hot because it’s the absolute best! (And don’t forget the honey)

Great stop on our trip between Arizona and Colorado. Very friendly staff and won't hesitate to make anything off the menu. Will definitely drop in again if I'm ever in the area.

A nice and quaint roadside cafe that serves mostly breakfast and lunch until mid afternoon, 2 or 3 p.m. depending on the season. It is in close proximity to Buffalo Thunder casino resort and a good option if you're looking for breakfast in the more casual fashion. Prices are in line with the cuisine provided and service was warm although a bit slow as they we're not staffed as hiring has become difficult for restaurants after covid. We do like to visit disestablishment when spending a few days in the area, have not experienced any issues with food or service, we will be back again soon.

Very good food! Best breakfast burrito ever! Friendly and fast service. Have been in the area for a week and this was our best food. If we return to the Southwest will definitely eat here again!

Quaint, diner-styled, cafe about 5 minutes from the Thunder Buffalo Casino. They have classic and delicious breakfast options. Came once for breakfast and a second time for lunch. Each time I was pleased but the the chicken stuffed sopapilla with green chile on top was scrumptious! The staff was also very attentive and friendly!
