This place was neat. An old building converted several times into what is now a cafe and trinkets/books/tourist store. All the staff was very nice. Special weekend menu.
I have a cheeseburger rating system, and very few have made it into my top ten, let alone my top five. The cook here made it into my top five. The cheeseburger I ordered was massive and loaded with flavor. The green chile was just the right temp. Hands down worth the trip. This will be one of my go-to stops when I take the motorcycle out for a ride.
Charming little restaurant in the middle of an old mining town. The service was personal since there were not that many seats.
The burger I got was pretty well seasoned; a bit messy to eat but tasty. The fries were clearly homemade and crispy. I think it's well worth a visit just due to the decor alone.
The food was great. I would say it was above standard for NM cuisine. But most of all the staff were incredibly friendly. As of 2/21/21 they are at 50% capacity dine-in inside, and full capacity on deck (2 2-seat tables and 1 4-seat table).
Stumbled on to this gem of a small town restaurant.
It was full of local people and I got to chat with the caretaker of the church across the street. The people running the place were friendly and very efficient. The food was great! The decor was remnants of when it used to be a General Store - nicely preserved.
