    We came right at closing on a weekday. They were so gracious to stay and make us food. We had the best brisket with green chili burritos ever. So friendly and informative. We will be back!

    I didn't get to eat there, because service was slow. It was a little crowded so the food must have been good. I love the old building and the history behind it. A pleasant surprise in a sleepy little town.

    Great little Dining Room/Cafe in Mountainair. Located inside the historic Shaffer Hotel. The inside of the cafe has an amazing painted ceiling and a lot of photography and paintings featuring New Mexico or New Mexican artists. There is a hotel adjacent and an art gallery as well. The rock fence built by Pop Shaffer is really cool to check after you’ve had your meal.

    Food is tasty and service is fast!
