Taqueria Dalhart #2

Address: 1423 S 1st St, Clayton, NM 88415, USA

“We both ordered the smothered beef burrito. With the green chili! It was amazing. Service very friendly. Menu was in Spanish but the waitress helped us . So big we couldn't eat it all !”

Sí, Señor Tacos

Address: 1314 S 1st St, Clayton, NM 88415, USA

Restaurant

“This is a great roadside find! Near subway and across from Valero gas station. We got street tacos, the chicken taco plate and a cheese burger. Everyone loved their order with the salsa being a particularly big hit. The burger was huge and fresh, probably the best burger within 100 miles given this place in is the middle of no where. Lots of covered out seating for a short break on a long road trip. This will be looking forward to this place next time we pass through.”

Allsup's Convenience Store

Address: 321 Main St, Clayton, NM 88415, USA

Restaurant

“Not a bad little store if you dont have to deal with the mgr Marlee. She is rude and regularly talks about people in front of the customers. The rest of the staff seem pleasant and somewhat professional. Locals avoold this store when she is working because of her.”

Santa Fe Trail Cafe

Address: 21 Poplar St, Clayton, NM 88415, USA

Restaurant

“We were the only ones there but it was great. Need to get awareness up so more people can experience the deliciousness. Everyone that tried the macaroni and cheese said it was the best they've ever had. The honey butter was awesome. If the rolls had been better we'd give 5 Stars! ****We love Ketchup 😁”

87 Restaurant

Address: 803 S 1st St, Clayton, NM 88415, USA

Restaurant

“Decent food, nothing special about the food though. The outside looks really cool with all of the signs and old cars stacked up. It’s a mixture of American/ Mexican food but the Mexican food is by no means authentic. Our waiter was very friendly and the food came out very fast.”

Godfather's Pizza Express

Address: 703 S 1st St, Clayton, NM 88415, USA

Restaurant

“The pizza was really good. Another reviewer said it was like little C's, but this was not the case for us. We had a large, thin half cheese, half meat. They were understaffed and there was a huge rush after we ordered, but the staff remained polite and professional. I noticed they sold fried chicken there also and would suggest that maybe when they are understaffed they should close down one option...either offer just pizza or just chicken. Either way we were thankful for the food and service as most places had already closed and there are so few people willing to work these days.”

Wild Horse Grill & Steakhouse

Address: 22 Pine St, Clayton, NM 88415, USA

Restaurant

“We tried the smothered burrito, smothered burger and corn dog. The green chili was not what we were expecting. It tasted more like enchilada sauce than green chili. Our favorite was the corn dog.”

Mock's Crossroads Coffee Mill

Address: 2 S Front St, Clayton, NM 88415, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Mock's IS a hidden gem, as previous reviewers have noted. Their excellent coffee, combined expertly in a hot Breve Latte, was one of the tastiest I've ever had. Perfect creme on top, too. I sampled a blueberry muffin which was soft and delicate with excellent taste and blueberry count. Next visit to Clayton and I'll go for a burro or breakfast sandwich. I know I'll be satisfied.....”

Roadrunner sub and sandwich

Address: 10 Main St, Clayton, NM 88415, USA

Restaurant

“Stumbled across this place while we were traveling and searching for something not fast food. The interior is cute with mismatched tables and chairs and antiques. My husband and I split the Road Runner on rye. It was so good! We also got small salads with ranch and it’s that good cafe ranch that’s not super thick. Our son gobbled up his PB&J. I liked having the ability to customize both my sandwich and my salad.”

Hotel Eklund

Address: 15 Main St, Clayton, NM 88415, USA

Restaurant

“Really cute historic hotel for a great price. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel keeper was exceedingly kind and friendly. The breakfast was good, though keep in mind everything was pre-made and you pick what you want and heat it up in the microwave; excellent coffee.”

Mary's Back Porch

Address: 200 Main St, Clayton, NM 88415, USA

Restaurant

“I put 5 stars because I absolutely love the drink selection there. They have a nice selection of frozen drinks and I always enjoy the food. I haven't tried anything that I didnt like. It's a family owned business and They are very friendly. The dinning part is more to the back of the building. You enter from the side and it looks like a real back porch without the weather. I had the Reuben today which is usually my favorite but it was lacking on something today and the pickle looked like someone sucked on it..... Come on guys I know you can do better. It was late and they were starting to close so that's understandable but a little disappointing to my tongue 👅 There is a gift shop in front with lots of cool items. She has a really good selection to choose from and she is good at putting baskets and bouquets together.”

The Local Hive

Address: 402 N 1st St, Clayton, NM 88415, USA

Restaurant

“Wow! Sooo delicious!! Stopped for a quick bite on my drive through and I’m half way through my burrito writing this. Very friendly lady and very tasty quality food, thank you! I’ll be back.”
