Hot Spot Jamaican American Cuisine

Very friendly staff and they have lots of authentic Jamaican products on sale including my favourite hard dough bread from the island. Loved it here

Fun little place to have some good Jamaican food. The staff was very friendly and attentive, the chef made me laugh when I asked him where was the butter beans for the oxtail that I had, he jokingly answered saying they were too expensive ????????. That did not detract from the taste in any way. Would highly recommend Hot Spot, if you're ever in Albany NY.

This is a great place for some real food if you are looking to have a break from burgers and stuff. Very well cooked food. Their meats fall off the bone (yeeeiy!). They have some great spices going on too. We tried this place late into the night so parking wasn't a problem. I'm sure it would have been a hard challenge during peak hours.

Nice restaurant, and you get real Jamaican vibes as soon as you see the colors. Really nice and accommodating staff. I was craving some escovitch fish, and they reported that they made the fish to order. However, it tasted as though the fish was already fried, and then they prepared it with the vinegar onion, carrot and pepper when ordered. Regardless the food was good! And I would definitely come back.
