Went today and had a fantastic experience! They were very busy but we were able to get in without a reservation. Price is very reasonable. The service is just like another reviewer said, hyper attentive, even with a packed room. Very clean and nice decor. The sushi is playful, fresh and innovative. The Mt. Fuji roll was my favorite. The mango roll is very sweet and makes a great ‘dessert’. Two slight cons, the restaurant is basically a huge square, nothing to absorb sounds so it can get noisy. Also, they do not currently serve alcohol. So not the best spot for a date night, but perfect for families, friends, and casual meals. Best place in the capital district for all you can eat sushi!
It looks like Albany finally has a great place for all you can eat sushi. Every food item was made perfectly and promptly even with a packed house on a random Wednesday night. The waitstaff and food runners were always prompt and the manager was helping the staff when needed and chatting with patrons during the down time. Do yourself a favor and come experience quality sushi at a very reasonable price.
Exceptional sushi and service. All of the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. They were very quick with refills both for food and for drinks. The restaurant is extremely clean and has a very nice atmosphere. Prices are extremely fair. Wasabi has easily become my new go to sushi place. I truly cannot wait to return.
Food was great. All the sushi that came out were very pretty. The service was amazing, food came out quickly. My new go to sushi place :)) Also try the salmon roe if you get a chance, definitely hard to come by in Albany!!
All you can eat sushi, but no other options for people who don't eat sushi while dining in. Other options like fried rice and stir fry are take out options only.
I was seated with my wife and was told if I wasn't eating all I could eat sushi, I couldn't eat. An exception was made for just rice, but stir fry was not available. We ended up leaving and going across the street to Samurai.
