Had a fantastic dinner here. Best fresh rolls in Albany. Other apps and curry entrées were spot on. All at a great price point. The owner is very sweet. Definitely will be back.
Best Thai I’ve had to date! Very nice setting, clean and the staff is wonderful. I’ve had the pad Thai, papaya salad and mango duck. All were done perfectly. I would definitely recommend for lunch or dinner.
Best Thai restaurant in Albany area compared at its fair price - Very detail-oriented, fresh, and most importantly, authentic & delicious! If you are seeking for authentic Thai restaurant at a great price, here is the place to go. This restaurant has a variety of lunch menu, so I would definitely recommend here for your lunch time if you work in the area. Plus, the waitress is kind and friendly :) Has pretty much everything to deserve my 5 stars.
Very good food, service was fast. All the ingredients were very fresh which is so great in the winter. But unfortunately there were bamboo shoots in my meal and I've never been fond of those. still this is a great alternative to many of the other Italian and Chinese restaurants in this area.
My partner and I were actually on our way to another restaurant for dinner when we passed the sign for Tamarind. We decided to give it a try since we love Thai food and we were getting tired of our usual dining options in the area. Let me just say, this restaurant is a 10/10, our new favorite in town!
Our server had such a positive and upbeat energy and recommended a few items on the menu. We decided to go with the Tom Yum soup for a starter and our entrees were the Pineapple Fried Rice and the Crazy Noodles. All were phenomenal! The fried rice was a nice balance of sweet from the fruit and savory from the curry and wasn’t overly saturated in cooking oil. The Crazy Noodles were also cooked perfectly and the veggies were so fresh. Plate presentation was beautiful as well and the portion sizes were perfect for us.
Tamarind has been open for about 2 months but please give it a try if you’re in the area! It is so worth it - we will be back!!
