Bronx Tavern

I absolutely love this place! The drinks were superb (infused pure grain alcohol that tastes like coquito without the cream! You can't beat that!!.) and the food was almost perfect. We ordered the do-it-yourself steak tacos. The steak, for all three of us, was so tough that none of us could chew it. We sent it back and they suggested the chicken which was phenomenal. It must cost $0.50 to put that beef on the menu. Charge me 75¢ and give me meet that I can chew!! Otherwise the owners fabulous, ambiance fabulous, cocktails fabulous. Four stars because of the steak

Great beer selection, some good food too!

I’ve gone to Bronx Tavern a few times when the place was nearly empty on the weekend. In fact, I’ve never seen more than one group other than myself in the place (I imagine it’s busier during the week and during the daytime specifically).

The food has been hit or miss. Garlic bread Mac and cheese had he worst possible velveeta-style macaroni and cheese, but the kale salad was good and the wings were great! When I went most recently, I had the mango bbq wings and sweet potato fries. I must say the sweet potato fries were also amazing.

They’ve been out of a bunch of beers I requested on one occasion (beers that were on their list), but usually they have a great selection. I will be back again and again to try more food and beers. The staff has been pleasant every time!

I was there last night for the first time. The staff was really nice and made a good drink. Had the Cuban sandwich with sweet plantains and it was very tasty. I would definitely go back.

It's Okay. Staff is friendly. Owner is always present and it would be nice for owner to say hello to population. Food is good on some days, all depends on who is cooking. I used to like it much better when it was gun hill tavern. Many times they don't have said beers on tap. Out of 20 beers they will have 15. (This happened to me three times.) I come here because it is not very crowded and good parking. Music selection sucks. For my taste, and then it is way too loud to talk. This is not a club. Please lower the music.
