I have been going to JPsfor over 25 years. Same owner, he is very friendly, quality wild caught seafood, always fresh. A bit on the pricey side but very well worth it. The portions are huge. The platter for 2 can feed 4 easily.

I went to JP's last night with my family for my grandmother's birthday and I loved it. The waitress Melissa was sweet and quick, the food was great and in huge portions, and the ambience was chill unlike the nearby restaurants that are super packed and noisy. Also the owner was kind enough to give my grandma a whole bottle of champagne when we left. Most importantly the music was great and old school. I'd definitely come back with my girlfriends!

I've been going here for many years and have always been pleased with their food and service. It's a quiet atmosphere away from the busier parts of the area. They're a bit on the pricey side but the food is always good. If you're looking for a good seafood restaurant on City Island, I'd recommend JP's.

This place is very much outdated as far as renovation goes. And the music selection will lead you to believe that you're in a different era...but the food is beyond what you expect it to be! The seafood selection even their non -seafood is so mouth watering delicious! You might think that the food is pricey but you're paying for way more than expected. Its impossible not to take food home. And their drinks, are nice and strong that if you consume more than one it might lead you to a little buzz. The service here is excellent and very attentive.
