They seem to be serving healthy food here now which is very strange given that it's a fried chicken joint in Parkchester. Used to eat here all the time over a decade ago before I left NYC, came back and thought "I could go to a Mets game or the Bronx Zoo... or I could get the best chicken ever made and some Hispanic lo mein at Chickenfest with some sugar drank." Still amazing. The hours are weird as they close early every now and then but it's worth braving the Hugh Grant Circle's traffic to get there in the daylight. I've made chicken and mac at culinary school and competed with classmates but no one can beat the standard. Quesadillas have rice in them which is also kinda weird but, again, tasty. If your life coach tells you to count your calories/carbs, s/he's an enemy of Chickenfest and therefore an enemy of mine.
