“I've only ordered delivery, haven't been in the physical location, but we were so happy to find a good Chinese takeout place after moving into our new neighborhood! I grew up eating in Chinatown with my family every weekend, so I'm picky about my Chinese food, and takeout is different from authentic Chinese cuisines, but I still enjoy GOOD takeout! I never even used to order from my previous local takeout place because it was flavorless and poorly cooked. Moon Star is really yummy though. It has more fusion options which is cool, in addition to the classic Chinese American takeout dishes, and it's all really tasty! Haven't been disappointed by a dish yet. My favorite is the spicy eggplant with pork. I love it when it's done right, and they do it right!”

The server/cashier was friendly and catered to me asking for extra, extra gravy and both our plates had sweet plantains. If you know like I know and have been around, extra extra gravy is usually met with a look of disgust and not many places give the sweet plantains anymore. 5 star food, 5 star customer service and at affordable prices. “Walked in randomly after work craving Jamaican food and was pleasantly surprised. Small place with great food. I got the curry lobster tail that was suggested by another customer and it was made on the spot fresh and deliciously seasoned. I got the mac n cheese which is pretty good for not being home-made. I can't wait to go back and try everything else off the menu. Staff is also nice and friendly in terms of customer service and customizing your meal.”

“After my group run in the Bronx with Mile Style (@MileStylers), we go to the Boogie Down Grind Cafe to have some wonderfully made drinks for discounted prices, since the owners of the cafe run with Mile Style as well. Their croissants, especially the Almond one is great because they toast it with butter. Their grilled cheese is also amazing. Try one of everything if you want, you might not be disappointed!”

For some reason the food seems to taste better when you eat at establishment rather than when delivered. Prices are reasonable and atmosphere is clean and small. The girl took my order and didn't come back until 6 minutes after the fact. The bartenders are NOT attentive. It's rather annoying to wait 10 minutes for something that should take less than a minute. I'm waiting on my bill for over 10 minutes now. ????????”
