“Malecon is a chain, but not all locations are equal. This is a good one. You can smell the chicken cooking from a block a way. It is juicy, its skin is crispy, and it is seasoned well. I have only had one experience when I was served a dry chicken that wasn't fresh off of the rotisserie. I have been there a number of times since then, and I consider that day a fluke :)”

There aren't many diners that readily have grits and even less with good grits. The have a complete menu of tasty options if you're looking for something other than grits to eat. “Way better chicken than the nearby KFC. Just don't get the chicken tenders as it seems like low quality processed meat. Stick with chicken on bones like extra crispy and spicy which are delicious. The line is never long and the staff is friendly. I always go for the $5 specials as it's filling and way cheaper than those $8+ meals. Either way you will be happy.”

“Food is okay. Small place. Do not expect to bring a group of 5 or more in here. I ordered 3 diffrent types of tacos and they charged me extra for it. I ordered one chicken taco, one steak taco and one salted beef taco. The meat on thevchicken taco was not cut well. The only one i really enjoyed was the salted beef taco. I have ordered delivery from this place and they took more than 1 hr to deliver the food. There are better Mexican spots around 231st.”

“So this is a mixed feeling review. First and foremost, the mood tastes very good, I highly recommend White Rice with Seasemi Seed Chicken or Fried, Steamed dumplings. My only concern is that every now and then when ordering out, it can take from the normal 5-10 minute wait to an hour or longer. While that's bad the food is not cold which leads me to think maybe they have surges in big orders at night but when the food does arrive it's still hot and, just in case, the food is not shady looking. I recommend this place ONLY if you're okay with taking a chance on waiting awhile.”
