Moxie Wood Fire Grill

Off the beaten path and about 25 drive from Binghamton, Moxie is an unexpected Oasis. Wood fired oven creates unique flavorful dishes. We had an excellent dinner here.

Truly amazing. Had a pizza that reminded me of my Aunts cooking, french onion soup perfect and blackened chicken egg roll was delicious. Service top notch. Perfect for off th beaten path and to be able to relax

AMAZING! Great food, great atmosphere & the service was nothing short of fantastic. This was by far, THE best public dining experience I have ever had. Thank you Moxie's for making my belated Mother's Day wonderful!

What a wonderful experience we had at your restaurant last night. From the warm, inviting welcome at the door by Jack followed by great service with a smile at the bar from Jesse...cocktail menu that was awesome and a tremendous food selection...oh, and the food was terrific! Will definitely be back! Thanks so much for your efforts.

Good food, but seems a bit overpriced.
My 'Moody Bleu Steak Pasta' was pretty good. Honestly, chose it because it was one of the cheaper dinners at $27.
My wife had some Salmon and some maple glazed sweet potatoes which she said were excellent.

Fire alarm went off during the meal for some reason, but no one moved.
Reset after a minute or two, fire + police showed up and then left.

I did get a laugh at the end of the meal when each bill came with a $2.75 charge for soda that nobody had along with a 20% tip included because we were part of a larger crowd.
After the waiter took off the soda @ $2.75, the tip was not modified so it was more than 20% and then the receipt came with a slot labeled "Additional Tip: _______".

We are usually 20% tippers so on an auto-add we usually make up the different, but auto-adding 20% seems steep and to be honest I think it's a bit ballsy.

$74 dollars seemed a bit steep for the meal when we only had waters.
But, it was for a birthday so I guess I can justify it (some how).

I'm not going to obnoxiously put a low rating due to these issues.
The food was good, wait staff was good, the time was good, and we had a laugh.
Personally, I don't believe I would go here for a non-special occasion meal.
