Pearl City Hops

When we went here, it wasn't clear exactly where the entrance was. We went in through the hotel lobby. There were only a few tables and a bar. The bartender had to act as our server as they were short-staffed. Unexpectedly a loud alarm kept going off in the building across the street. They staff apologized even though they had nothing to do with it. Very professional. It was an agonizing wait for the food. The menu seemed limited. We each had a version of their gourmet burgers. The quality of their food was great.

First let me say that Rose, the bartender/server was outstanding. She greeted us immediately and brought out menus, told us what her favorites were, and mixed a great cocktail. Unfortunately for Rose the kitchen was not quite at her level.

We ordered the salmon with horseradish sauce and the beer can chicken but they were out of the salmon so I got the Shepard's Pie and my dining companion ordered the beer can chicken. Both were excellent and we had a side of green beans. There was an issue with the green beans but Rose had them made up again and they were excellent. Food was very good..beer can chicken was moist and delicious and Shepard’s Pie was excellent.

She offered us to free desserts for all of the challenges that we had which we gratefully accepted. The desserts were very good. White and dark chocolate cake and pecan cheesecake.

Rose's handling of all the little bobbles made up for any issue. She's great! I will absolutely return.

Went to Pearl City with a group of coworkers for lunch after a funeral today, the food was very good and the quality of service was amazing. We were treated like we were the most important customers they ever had. I will be back often.

New fish fry was delicious. All food is home made and NOT microwaved. A slight decrease in prices would help in our area but overall the kitchen seems to have worked out their kinks. Try the Shepard pie. Delicious!!!!
