Let's see what can I say about Pennys Restaurant nothing bad that's for sure. My wife & I stop there as often as we can for lunch. Always have been greeted by a pretty waitress and a nice smile. Don't ask me how they do it but they make you feel right at home. The food is excellent and plentiful & for a fair price. These girls work hard to please you it is just the way they are and they do it effortlessly. Yes, I did say Plentiful portions we always go home with a box. You won't mind leaving a good healthy tip here for their service unless you're a cheapo. Thank you Pennys for taking such good care of your customers it is what makes your restaurant so great.
Penny has upgraded the old Homestead. Rustic meals are wonderful. One of my favorite places.
Good food amd good staff. Quick service.
Great small diner that just opened down the road from me. Service was fast and friendly! Will go again. Food was good /excellent quality but we did wish the food portions were bigger and the drink cups were larger.
Lots of food for a good price. Just wish you got more Mac salad with lunch. Service was excellent.
Newly opened, but by the quality of our meal, they will be open for many years to come. Where else in the North Country can you find homemade corned beef hash? Delicious! I had the Hasbrown Skillet (with a side order of hash) topped with over easy eggs. I had to take half of it home with me, very filling, and so good! Right now this establishment is cash only, but luckily they have an ATM inside ($2.75 fee) and are next door to DFCU (good for us locals). Despite being busy (they just opened a few days ago) the service was excellent and reminded me of the days when the Homestead was open here, many years ago. With the long standing history of the building and the many happy memories I have of eating here as a child (when it ran as the Homestead) I am very happy to see this place has finally fallen into the right hands, congrats Penny! We will be back again soon, and can't wait to try everything on the menu!
