Great vibe, fabulous food and friendly service all up state. We had a short wait for a table, time passed quickly with drinks at the well stocked bar with local spin on classic cocktails and a good cross section of wine. Go here.

A neighborhood place with contemporary flair, off the beaten path. Farm to table, inventive food, all very fresh and tasty. A bit pricey but worth it. Outstanding service!
The only negative for me was the wine list that had markups of 300%. The least expensive red was $47 and most bottles were at least $50 and up.
Otherwise it was great: standouts were the fish tacos, a terrific burger, gnudi, 1/2 roast chicken-- all with tasty accompaniments.

No reservations for fewer than 6 people, so you may have to wait, but there's a congenial bar area and a couple of outside benches in nice weather. Also I should add, kid friendly.

My favorite Friday night date-night spot. The starter plates (especially salads) are always amazing. Plus the Mac 'n cheese is the best!!

Oh my gosh this place is just perfect, being a aficionado of the Marlow’s guys in bk for many years this feels like an expansion outpost up in the Hudson area! Very honest cooking and relaxed atmosphere! Been here four times the last year and each time have been so good!

Last September (2018) we walked inside and were told it would be around a 20 minute wait so we sat at the bar for a drink. John the bartender elevated our experience tenfold. Although every element of Gaskins was already 5 star worthy. Great atmosphere, great food and drinks. Can’t wait to go back next time we’re in town.
