This place is even better than it looks online. You can tell how much detail went into ever square inch of this place. I have never stayed in a hotel this beautiful. The staff is amazing, the beds are the most comfortable thing ever, and their restaurant and cafe and lounge are each so fantastic.

Refined & elegantly appointed rooms in the heart of Hudson’s Warren Street. The Maker Hotel is like staying in a well decorated home filled with sumptuous furnishings. An eager staff and an impeccable restaurant & bakery/cafe serve playful cocktails and sophisticated cuisine that feels like NY with a French streak.
The pool is discreetly tucked into the property and is a luxurious amenity for such a centrally located hotel. On the whole this place exudes romance and makes a smart weekend getaway!

I had the most fabulous weekend at this hotel. The entire property is so elegantly outfitted that you feel like you're living in a glamorous movie. Please don't get me started on that bed - I felt like I was sleeping in a cloud. Hudson's fun but The Maker is so special that you could happily spend the entire weekend without leaving the property. The pool for hotel guests is divine and I think the restaurant is, hands down, the best in the area. If you really want to over-indulge, the pastries and cocktails are ALSO second to none (each sold separately, unless you're really going for it!). Stay here. Send me a postcard. I'm already jealous.

From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome! It was fun to go up the wonderful winding wood staircase to our Artist Room. Upon opening the door to the Artist Room, we were quite enthralled. There’s something when someone says “it looks just like the picture”, but this was so much more. Atmospheric and subtly colorful in a very beautiful way. So much attention to every detail, it felt like you were walking into another time period, authentic and spacious. We loved the artist easel. The bathroom, with its clawfoot bathtub porcelain bathtub, was gorgeous and luxurious. The room was very atmospheric and the temperature comfortable. The bed was dreamy –like sleeping on a cloud. We both slept really well, and later than usual. The bed frame was regal, dark brown wood, comforting—the bedding cool and fluffy. We want to find bedding like this for our own home. The totality of the room was quiet and peaceful. We woke up feeling refreshed. We loved the attention to detail, the comfy chairs, artful design everywhere, the library loaded with fascinating books. I loved splashing around in the pool.

We had breakfast each morning in the café service was wonderful the pastries were unbelievable, especially the cherry scone. We had an exquisite dining experience in the restaurant Saturday evening. We loved the appetizers: the asparagus with burrata, the crab and rhubarb salad, and radishes were incredible. Complemented by really perfect butter, the bread was amazing. I could’ve eaten much more. The main course: we tried the savory flavorful pork and delicate trout, both wonderfully tasty. We adored the potato gratin. For dessert: the classic ice cream sandwich the smooth butterscotch pudding. We were so full at this time, so we saved half for later, and then forgot it in the refrigerator. Sorry.

The wine selection was also wonderful. The rosé we imbibed the first night was fantastic and with our dinner we had a wonderful Sancerre. Equally flavorful.

The service was really perfect. Sometimes New Yorkers get impatient when we’re out of town but it was quick. They weren’t on top of us. It just seemed like every course arrived right when we were ready for it.

I'm ready to go back tomorrow. Travel is special, and one cannot take for granted what it is to have a truly unique experience. The Maker Hotel is place to take in moment to moment sensorial pleasures. Thank you!
