Amazing! Full of flavor and didn't leave hungry. The staff was warm, friendly and inviting. The decor was breath taking as well. Will definitely return to try new things.
I have been here twice for brunch and enjoyed both meals tremendously, as did the other members of my party on both occasions. The hours can be a bit weird and the website advertises making reservations, but it's easy enough to pop in for brunch regardless. I'd have loved to try one of their diverse dinner offerings before moving out of town, and who knows what the future will bring.
Extra points: family run, calming, positive energy, and mid-range priced (with higher and lower options). The Tulip and the Rose almost takes you somewhere Mediterranean (instead of mid-farming NY country, with only a gas station as the main sign of other human life).
I'd even say it's worth winding one's way out of Oneonta on a Saturday or Sunday morning to enjoy (though probably not if there is any kind of snow mixture in existence on the roads, because both hills into Franklin are not designed for the faint of heart--or those of us who won't splurge on winter tires). It's a must go if you are in the area and a bit of, if not completely, a foodie!
The food was fantastic, the service was absolutely wonderful. It was cozy without being claustrophobic. They had a well meshed cross of ethnic and American food. No one would feel left out. It was truly a wonderful experience.
An incredibly friendly atmosphere, and some of the best food I have ever tasted. The Tapas Nights feature cuisines from all over the World. Thai, to Southern Comfort Food. East African, to Italian. The Brunches are a delight, and the coffee is exquisite. A True find.
This place is honestly one of the single greatest restaurants I've been to in the northeast, not to mention a revelation - who'd have thought that you could find delicious tapas in Franklin of all places? I went to the Southeast Asian-themed night and out of eight dishes there was only one that I wasn't completely in love with, and it wasn't even bad. I can't wait to visit again and bring my friends!
