Had high expectations and they were absolutely met. The brisket & collard greens were spectacular, but even more so was the owner. He answered every single question my party had and was incredibly helpful. He tailored our food to our Keto diet and it was still phenomenal. This will be my main BBQ in the Hudson Valley from now on.

Yummy yummy in my tummy!! Looking for authentic BBQ in upstate NY? This is it. As soon as you walk in, the aroma takes over and you realize you entered a BBQ joint that means business. We were greeted by the owner who was just awesome. Seems his main job, aside from cranking out great food, is to help newbies navigate the wall menu. It all works. I went with the pulled pork and a small order of smoked wings and it was all awesome. Definitely a spot we will frequent when we are in the area.

There's not much to Big W's, you walk in and Big W himself is there waiting to take your order. When you do, he pulls out the meat and trims it right in front of you. He's such a nice guy that's willing to accept special requests!

You can tell that he knows what he's doing from the way he handles the meat, expertly trimming to order. I had brisket with two sides, collard greens and beans for my sides. The sides were great, but the brisket was the star, so tender with a great bark.

Bottom line, if you're anywhere nearby, get in your car and get to Big W's.

Great dry rub BBQ and friendly owner. He really made us feel welcome and was quick with the jokes ???? very cozy. Will definitely be back again. Oh and this was the combo for one.

Everything you can possibly ask for from a BBQ restaurant. Delicious food and if your lucky a comfortable place to sit and eat because space is limited. If you enjoy the grill, this will be a real treat.
