Cider Bros Roadhouse

Cider Bros Roadhouse is my new favorite pit stop off of the Taconic. They say it's slow food but worth the wait - they exaggerated the time and undersold how good the meal was!

Our group shared an order of fried pickles which were expertly breaded and amazing, as well as the scallion pancakes.

The macaroni salad with artichoke was unexpectedly delicious. Certainly not a throwaway pasta and mayonnaise dish. It shines on its own.

Sandwiches were had all around after that, with the Sriracha Honey Fried Chicken and the Cubano being the two favorites. All of the meat was juicy and flavorful, there's really nothing negative to say about this meal except that most things needed an extra side of sauce.

Can't wait to swing by again.

The food was delicious, we got a mix of breakfast and lunch items to share. We were so full, but when we found out there was fresh apple crumb we just had to try it. Best decision we made, so yummy. The service was fantastic, service with a smile and kindness.

NIce family-run place. Good roadhouse food (e.g. pork chop, potato skins, fried green tomatoes). Not high cuisine, but a excellent exemplar of its type

I liked it. Very quiet. good sized menu - lots of choices for a small eatery. Prices fair. Very clean. plenty of room but I was alone due to the odd hour. Strawberry salad was excellent and perfectly portioned. I would have ordered ice cream but the waitress brought my check to me when she saw I had finished the salad. Ironic maybe, that impulse. I was just coming back from medical appointments and thought I would treat myself. I was only customer. I will assume out of kindness/respect they left me alone. Decor is bright, bucolic, classic country. I will come again for breakfast sometime.
