The pizza with kale, onion and garlic is actually really good!

My Place has some of the best pizza in Poughkeepsie, starting with a genuine, old-school New York-style thin crust made from scratch. Unfortunately, it seems to be basically closed now as a regular pizzeria. I guess it didn't have a glitzy enough appearance, and so not enough people went there to enjoy the fantastic pie and the company of the fun and thoughtful people that tended to hang out there. Our loss.

But they do still have live jam sessions with pizza from time to time. Check one out and patronize a fun and colorful hangout that's a little off the beaten track in Po'town. Oh, and yes, if you do get a chance to taste the kale and garlic pie, don't pass on it--it really is as good as everyone is saying!

Update Novemver 8, 2018: I've seen no sign of life there for several months. I think it might be dead now, sad to say.
