Great staff, great decor and even better food! Anyone who has kids will know my pain of trying to find a place that has good food and is family-friendly. My sister and I went to lunch here with 2 toddlers and the staff was great - offered us crayons & coloring sheets and didn't mind my active 2 year old walking around the restaurant and talking to patrons & staff. We never felt like our presence was inconveniencing the staff or the other patrons. We didn't feel "tolerated" but welcomed, so kudos to the staff for that. I'll definitely come back and always recommend ABV to friends and family visiting Buffalo.
Great local burger place! I had the Number Five, peanut butter, homemade pickled jalapeños, bacon and white cheddar, surprisingly good combination. Try the taster tots, they’re homemade with great potato flavor. Big selection of beers and whiskey.
Tater tots were very good and the burger which was good was over done. After I read their write up in the Buffalo news stating that if you order a medium rare burger you get a medium rare burger. That was not the case with mine or the other two burgers that were ordered by others at the table. Overall good food.
A friend of mine recommended this place and I'm glad we checked it out. They offer a super unique establishment with lots to look at from all the album covers on the wall to the farm utensils as beer taps. The patio is prefect to enjoy something off their big whisky menu or the great selection of craft beers. Now, the burgers... What a combination, bourbon bacon, brown sugar marmalade and goat cheese, absolutely incredible... The patty was big and fresh, and the bun was super soft. The fries and onion rings were a great combination. This place is a must visit if you're visiting the city.
Visited the place on Friday evening. Fairly crowded but we got seats immediately. We initially preferred indoors but there was draft on our seat so went outdoors. The number five burger on the menu was delicious. The accompanying fries were good too. The McAllen 187 single malt whisky was silky smooth. I skipped a star due to service. It was slow and took long to get our drinks order and drinks. Overall a recommendable Friday evening place.
