Bacchus Wine Bar & Restaurant

The service was friendly and helpful. We were asked if we had a show or other event to attend (for timing), and when we said, "no", our meal was relaxed, with perfect pacing between courses for conversation. Our waitress was an expert at being "there" when we wanted her... and "gone" when we didn't. Water glasses were promptly (yet unobtrusively) refilled (which to me, matters).

This a favorite I’d not patronized in awhile. It’s as good as I remembered. Our early evening reservation found a wait staff friendly and ready. Our party 5 order a variety of appetizers that pleased everyone. The same holds for our entrees. One of they city’s finest wine list does not fail to yield outstanding bottles. I always recommend this choice for a fine dining experience that hits all of the marks. That, like the service and the kitchen maintains high regards from us.

We visited Bacchus several years ago after a show at the Shea Theatre. It was memorable to be sure! It was several years ago and we had the chance to come back to Buffalo again for a show and weekend away and did not even consider anywhere else to eat dinner. And we were not disappointed. Again the staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. They have great specials and I ordered both app and main off the specials. As that was seafood heavy, my wife ordered off the menu. The scallops were so tasty followed by a healthy (large!) portion of halibut cooked perfectly.

Food, service and atmosphere are all exemplary. Personal attention was surprising and much appreciated. Will go back frequently. Bacchus is a delightful Buffalo spot. A modern atmosphere with a mix of old building, new modern style. The service is very good and they have a good variety of seafood, and assorted dishes. Did I say good wine too? It's in the name. The food is quite good and the service prompt. The few better places in Buffalo are either inconveniently located or much more expensive. A special convenience is that Bacchus has valet parking.
